The final on Friday will be presented live by Peadar Ó Riada at 7 pm on his radio programme Cuireadh chun Ceoil on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and will also be streamed live to the RnaG Facebook page.

As part of the weekend activities, there will also be a Musicians Congress in the Rochestown Park on Saturday at 2 pm, with information for musicians on rights, publishing, publicity, visas, grants and more. There is a cost of €5 for entry

On Saturday night, the Coirm Órdha concert of previous winners of the medal will take place in the hotel, with free entry. The musicians on stage will include pipers Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn and Éanna Ó Cróinín, flute player Tim McHugh, harpers Oisín Morrison and Úna Ní Fhlannagáin, and last year’s winner, box player Keelan McGrath. The concert starts at 8 pm.

Deireadh seachtaine mór ceoil d’éisteoirí RTÉRnaG

Tá deireadh seachtaine mór ceoil beartaithe d’éisteoirí RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta agus do phobal Chorcaí mar go mbeidh an chraobh do Bhonn Óir Seán Ó Riada, Comhdháil na gCeoltóirí agus an Choirm Órdha ar siúl ansin Dé hAoine agus Dé Sathairn.

Dé hAoine ag 7 pm, craolfar an chraobh do Bhonn Óir Seán Ó Riada beo ó Óstán an Rochestown Park i gCorcaigh. Beidh 17 fidléir ar stáitse in iomlán, ina measc beidh deartháir agus deirfiúr ó Bhéal na Molt i bPort Láirge, Sarah agus Séamus O’Gorman, agus triúr ceoltóir a bheidh tagtha anall as Stáit Aontaithe Mheiriceá. Is é Ademar O’Connor, 15, as Éadan Doire i Uíbh Fhailí, an t-iomaitheoir is óige.

Is é Peadar Ó Riada a reáchtálann an comórtas seo ar a chlár Cuireadh chun Ceoil gach bliain. Beidh €2500 ag dul don bhuaiteoir chomh maith leis an mBonn Óir. Beidh an chraobh á craoladh beo ar leathanach Facebook Raidió na Gaeltachta freisin.

Dé Sathairn, beidh dhá imeacht eile ar bun san óstán ceangailte leis an mBonn Óir. Ag 2 pm, beidh Comhdháil na gCeoltóirí ar siúl, le ceardlanna agus comhairle do cheoltóirí faoi chúrsaí foilsitheoireachta, cearta, deontais, poiblíocht agus a leithéid. Tá costas €5 ar an doras.

Ansin ag 8 pm, beidh an Choirm Órdha ann, ceolchoirm le hiar-bhuaiteoirí an bhoinn agus tá saorchead isteach. Ar stáitse i mbliana beidh Oisín Morrison (cruit), Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn (píob), Tim McHugh (feadóg mhór), Úna Ní Fhlannagáin (cruit), Keelan McGrath (bosca), Éanna Ó Cróinín (píobaí) agus Con Houlihan (píob mhór) a bhuaigh Gradam Fhéile na Laoch.
