Phil Coulter’s upcoming concert in Ballymaloe Grainstore sold out in a flash, so the venue has lured him back for a second performance on Friday 29 December.
The evening will be a ‘Twixmas treat’ - that’s the week between Christmas and New Year’s – or would make an ideal gift tucked under the tree on December 25th.
“Pure Gold” was how a U.S. critic recently described a Phil Coulter show. It struck a chord with the man himself. “It seemed to tick a lot of boxes” said Phil, so he hijacked the title for his new show and album. (more…)

Christmas week midst the mad seasonal shopping hustle bustle, there lays a little peaceful solstice for those in the know in two of Dublin’s most beautiful Church settings.
December 18 to 21st Steeple Sessions present a short series of candlelit concerts at the Unitarian Church on St. Stephen’s Green and at Christchurch Cathedral.
It all starts Monday December 18th with legendary a capella harmony trio The Voice Squad followed by rising star and twice 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning Daoiri Farrell and then Galway’s favourite harmony trio The Whileaways. (more…)
