€189,000 AWARDED THROUGH MUSIC CAPITAL SCHEME

Music Network today announced the results of the Music Capital Scheme 2016. A total of €189,000 in funding from the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs has been awarded to 22 performing groups and 15 individual musicians.

Michael O’Riordan Receives Midem Gold Pioneer Medal
Renowned Irish music publisher Michael O’Riordan has been awarded the Midem Gold Pioneer Medal for his extensive contribution to the Music Business. The medal was presented to O’Riordan, the only Irish person to receive the award, by IMRO CEO Victor Finn and Keith Donald, Chairman of IMRO’s Board of Directors.
