Marrying a Knopfler-esque melodic touch with a lyrical ability and guitar talent akin to James Taylor and Paul Brady, Irish songwriter and composer Ewan Cowley takes his first step into the solo artist’s spotlight presenting The Elevated Life, his debut solo EP.

Comprising new songs and instrumentals, the collection showcases a maturity of lyric-writing and music-making informed by Cowley’s illustrious career to date as a diversely talented and in-demand session musician with a background in Irish traditional and classical music.

As a multi instrumentalist and producer he guided top Irish band The High Kings through their first years of success. He has collaborated with Dónal Lunny, Eddi Reader, Celtic Woman, Moya Brennan, Camille O’Sullivan, and many more including Lisa Lambe, who appears as a guest vocalist on this EP on the 2016 single “The Thorns From Your Heart”.
