Bang On The Ear

Bang On The Ear have entertained audiences all over North America since the bands formation in 2007. Fronted by husband and wife, Bradley & Michelle McMillan, they built a strong following placing emphasis on combining the sounds of traditional Irish music and fusing it with Folk, Rock, and that Glengarry County sound that has made the area’s music so popular over the past 50 years.

Their Live energy is one that must be captured live. They have had their music featured on Radio, Internet radio & podcasts all over the world. They have played for Canadian & world dignitaries, Top Chefs and more from around the world. To Date they have released 1 E.P and 3 full length albums. Having written and recorded over 30 Pieces of Original music, the band is entering its 10th year and is releasing a new album in 2017 entitled “1948″. With 400 plus live performances under their belt, they have been privileged to have performed at several of North America’s top festivals and top drawing musical events such as the Glengarry Highland Games (4 Years), Canada’s Irish Festival (5 Years), The 7th Annual World Education Festival, The Quigley Wigley, Ottawa’s Baconpalooza (2 Years) and The Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival (3 Years). They have shared the stage with The Trews, Jimmy Rankin, Signal Hill, Shanneygnock, Joey Kitson (Rawlins Cross) & The Makem and Spain Brothers to name a few. Their Love of Glengarry County & traditional Celtic Music shine brightly every time this group takes the stage.

“1948″,   is the brand new album from the band and the 4th full length in the bands discography. Named after the inaugural year of the Glengarry Games, the album is comprised of 9 original songs written by the band. The band’s sound remains the same but the new songs on the album highlights the bands song writing ability and experience. With Songs about the Glengarry Highland Games, Spirit Of the West singer John Mann, The Tragically Hips Singer Gord Downie & Raising families. The Album’s upbeat tempo and vocal melodies make for a wonderful record that will take its place in the Glengarry County Music scene.
