Dublin fiddle player and composer Aoife Nic Cormaic will kick off the Autumn season of ‘Bewley’s @ 6!’ on Tuesday, 24 September ! Gael Linn have organized this series of musical evenings in the historic Bewley’s Café Theatre on Dublin’s Grafton Street since 2008.
Born and raised in Dublin, Aoife was first introduced to the fiddle in primary school and has been playing ever since. She launched her debut recording, Cuas na bhFáinleog/The Holloow of the Swallows in January of this year, and she will play a selection of her original compositions from the album at Bewley’s @ 6! on Tuesday, 24 September. She will be accompanied on the night by musicians Frank Tate ( bouzouki ), Steve Larkin ( fiddle ) and Kevin Murphy ( cello ), who also played on the CD.
