Rónán Ó Snodaigh Live in the Club
Rónán Ó Snodaigh is recognized as one of Ireland’s best and most innovative bodhrán players and percussionists and a highly original singer songwriter. Described by John Walsh (Hot Press) as “the living embodiment of Turlough O Carolan and Bob Marley”, and by a fan as “a bleedin legend, The Jimi Hendrix of Bodhrán”.
Rónán has also been creating a stir as a singer songwriter in both English and Irish. His songs are lyrically beautiful with edginess to their sound that is quite unique. Somewhere between folk and rock, there is an organic charm to his music, which is as surprising as it is endearing.
He has released four albums to date, Playdays, Tonnta Ró, Tip Toe and The Last Mile Home. Ó Snodaigh plays the Bodhrán, the Djembe, the Conga, the bongos and the guitar along with many other instruments.
His live solo gigs in Club Chonradh na Gaeilge are not to be missed as they give a rare chance to hear one of Ireland’s top musicians up close and personal in the most intimate of venues.
