At First Light is a highly respected group of musicians based in Belfast. The band combines the talents of world renowned Uilleann Piper John McSherry and outstanding young fiddle player Dónal O’Connor, creators of Tripswitch, which has been described as ‘Acoustic perfection’.
Combined with the sublime talent of Francis McIlduff from the famous McPeake clann, the power, clarity and sheer joy of Alan Burke formerly of the band Afterhours and Michael Mc Ague from at the Racket and you can see why the band is being portrayed as ‘a dream team line up’.

June 12th Workshops with At first light.11am-2pm Widcombe social club Widcombe hill Bath £16 An opportunity to learn traditional Irish music with some real masters of their craft. The workshop leaders are all highly respected players. There will be workshops in the following instruments:

Traditional Irish Singing with Alan Burke
