THE MULKERRIN BROTHERS AND SPECIAL GUESTS
The Mulkerrin Brothers, winners of the first ever R.T.E ‘All-Ireland Talent Show’, are about to embark on their very first Irish tour. Some very special guests are to be announced in the coming weeks, and the Royal Theatre will welcome them on Sunday 29th November 2009.
The three brothers, Padraig, Eamonn and Seán, from Inis Mór of the Aran Islands performed a combination of traditional music and dance to claim the title. A major feature of their performance that won the hearts of the nation was Seán’s sean-nόs dancing. It is something that you rarely see today in Ireland and especially by someone so young and in such a traditional style. The trio say that people haven’t seen half of what they can do yet, all three are singers, so expect to be surprised at how far their talents stretch.
Since winning the show, the boys have performed at various festivals around the country, a sell out debut show in Ennis, as guests on an exclusive show with Sinead O’ Connor in London and have been working hard in the studio laying some tracks down for their very first record. With no signs of slowing down, there is a documentary being filmed about them due for broadcast on Christmas Day, The Mulkerrin Brothers have come a long way in such a short time.
