We are thrilled to announce that Niamh Ni Charra’s Deoraiocht an tSaighdiura track from her debut album has been nominated in the 2009 Just Plain Folks Music Awards. The nominees were chosen from over 560,000 songs, submitted from various sources including CD Baby, and the gruelling selection process took a total of 14 months.

The awards are organised by Just Plain Folks Music Organisation, the world’s largest grassroots music organization, and are the largest of any kind in the world. Due to the sheer volume of music considered, the awards are only issued every two years, and will take place this year in America’s music capital, Nashville, on 29th August.
