CARA DILLON MAKES A WELCOME RETURN TO STRULE
Strule Arts Centre is pleased to announce, Northern Ireland’s greatest
female contemporary talents, Cara Dillon is returning to Strule Arts Centre
on Friday 17 October at 8pm Tickets £16.50.
We are delighted to invite Cara Dillon back to the Strule Arts Centre stage
after her wonderful performance last year. Hailing from Dungiven, Cara is
one of the most original and stunning singers of traditional music.
Whether she’s singing her native songs of lost love and emigration, or
their original compositions, you will be hard pressed to find a more
emotive and captivating performer.
Cara has just releases her first DVD filmed entirely on location in Co
Donegal and Co L’Derry. Featuring outstanding live performances of some of
Cara’s best-loved songs in a breathtaking location on the shore of Lough
Foyle. Including intimate and heartrending renditions of traditional
classics such as ” Black Is The Colour”, ” I Am A Youth That’s Inclined To
Ramble” and ” The Streets Of Derry” plus original songs including ” There
Were Roses”, ” Never In A Million Years”, ” Bold Jamie” and “I Wish You
Well”.
