Frankie Gavin, of De Dannan fame, is back centre stage with a new group Hibernian Rhapsody, and a debut nineteen-track album entitled “The Full Score”. The CD recording features some of Ireland’s finest talents including: Carl Hession – Piano, harpsichord; Michelle Lally – Vocals; Derek Hickey – Accordion; Tim Edey – Guitar as well, of course, as Frankie on Flute and fiddle.   Other guest musicians include such notables as Rick Epping on Harmonica.

FRANKIE GAVIN is one of the genuine legends of Irish music. With All-Ireland Championship victories on both fiddle and flute, sixteen albums with the Dé Dannan, seven solo albums, as well as appearances with such luminaries as Earl Scruggs, Stephane Grapelli, Sir Yehudi Menuhin, and The Rolling Stones, ‘the prince of Irish fiddlers’ is one of the outstanding performers of the past thirty years.  Part of Frankie Gavin’s enduring appeal lies in his astounding technical ability and unceasing quest for innovation - musical pieces more commonly associated with the likes of the Beatles and George Frederic Handel are now common place in Frankie’s repertoire as an Irish musician. Most pertinent of all is the knack he has for imparting to his audience his own enthusiasm, the sheer joy, the magic of great music-making.

CARL HESSION is widely regarded as one of the finest accompanists, composers and arrangers in traditional Irish music circles. He has worked with many different artists from the traditional genre and is featured on several recordings, among them, Joe Derrane, Kevin Crawford, Moving Clouds and of course, Frankie Gavin. His style originated from a strong family tradition in Irish music which was later broadened by studying for a music degree at University College Cork.

Accordion player DAMIEN MULLANE was born in Cork, lived in London for fifteen years, and now resides in Co. Kerry. Damien’s talent and dexterity as an accordion player is clearly evident and has been widely acknowledged. To date Damien has been awarded 7 All-Ireland titles, 2 World Fleadh titles, the Danny Kyle award (from Scotland’s Celtic Connections festival) and the Young Musician of the Year award in London during 2002.
Galway-born ERIC CUNNINGHAM has been a soloist with the RTE Concert, Symphony and Chamber orchestras. Eric has worked with many top artists including, Mícheál O’Súilleabháin, Charlie Lennon & Steve Cooney. He holds a degree and first class honours masters in music and was awarded the Seán O’Riada Memorial Award by the National University Ireland. Eric was also awarded the National Outstanding Young Person of the Year Award by Junior Chamber Ireland (2005) and presented with a Rehab People of the Year Award (2006).

MIKE GALVIN resides in Co Kerry and is best known for his innovatory approach to music. Multi instrumentalist Mike is as competent on Keyboards, drums and bass as he is on guitar and that in itself is a major achievement after hearing him play guitar.  Mike tours regularly with Riverdance soloist Niamh Ní Charra and the all female group The Bridies. His knowledge and interest in various musical genres has led to the formation of his unique guitar style and his wish to ‘think outside the box’ and abandon musical protocol has also led to some very unorthodox and unique performances.

MICHELLE LALLY is a powerful new singer who has just emerged from Galway. Her renditions of contemporary easy listening Irish music are impossible to resist with the gentle charm of her immediately identifiable pure tone.
